Diced garlic and onions with sliced vegetables like cucumber, radish and tomato, mixed with chopped raw fish like tuna or blue marlin, drenched in vinegar and dashed with ground black pepper makes the \"kinilaw\" or \"kilawin\". The southern regions in the Philippines use the local term \"sinugba\" for anything that is grilled. To make a sinuglaw, grilled pork is added to the \"kinilaw\".
